About Us

Welcome to Cristo Rey High School Sacramento!

There is so much excitement and activity going on here at Cristo Rey on a daily basis.  We are often amazed at what can be accomplished within the context of a small school setting - providing a life-changing, innovative, college preparatory education for students with limited financial means. We are blessed with wonderfully gifted and talented young men and women at this school.

This summer we celebrated, with many of our students, their excitement at the opportunities they earned based on their academic achievement and leadership potential.  Here is just a sampling of some of those experiences:

 - One our seniors from the class of 2014 will be attending Georgetown University with a very generous financial aid package

- Three students attended Stanford Medical Youth Science Program’s summer classes

- One student attended University of Notre Dame’s two week Film Production program

- Two students attended Fairfield University’s summer program

- Two students attended the University of Washington, Seattle’s Economics for Leaders program

- One student received a full scholarship to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) week-long summer program in Boston

We are so proud of all of our Cristo Rey students and we know the long-term results are clear: Cristo Rey graduates are enrolling and graduating from college at twice the rate of their peers from the same economic backgrounds. To date, 97% of our graduates were accepted into colleges and universities across the country.

The excitement continues:  After a two year search, we are pleased to inform you that the Board of Directors has acquired a new site for Cristo Rey. The new property will provide ample space for our students and staff including enhanced science and technology facilities.  We are looking forward to moving into our new home in 2015!

On behalf of our co-sponsors, Board of Directors and the entire Cristo Rey community, we thank you most sincerely for your support and invite you to visit our students and be inspired!
