President's Message

Welcome from the President
Dear Friends of Cristo Rey Sacramento,
Welcome to The School that Works. Cristo Rey High School Sacramento, part of the Cristo Rey Network exists to provide a private Catholic, college preparatory high school education to students with limited financial resources. Opening our doors to the Sacramento community in 2006, we are proud of our alumni and the many accomplishments they have achieved to date, and we are excited about the future. Our mission and vision is guided by the deep traditions of Catholic education excellence from our Co-Sponsors, the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas and the Society of Jesus (Jesuits).
Our students enjoy a robust, challenging education, gain real world business experience, and participate in co-curricular activities as well as work five days a month through our Work-Study Program.  We are grateful to our many generous donors, Work-Study sponsors, the faculty, staff and community members who believe in the mission of Cristo Rey High School Sacramento.
The best way to know and understand how the Cristo Rey model is breaking the cycle of poverty is to witness it in action. I invite you to be my guest on a tour of our wonderful school. When you have the chance to meet our students, our faculty and staff, you will understand why Cristo Rey is The School that Works.
Yours in service,
David Perry
