A graduate of Heald Business College, I earned my degree in Business and Computer Science in 1982. I worked in the technological world of Silicon Valley for many years following my graduation before moving to Sacramento. Upon my arrival in Sacramento, I began my nonprofit career work at Jesuit High School and from there moved to Christian Brothers High School until I finally found my way to Cristo Rey High School. When I originally joined Cristo Rey in 2010, I served as the Executive Assistant to the President and Development Coordinator. After taking a 2 year hiatus from the school in 2015, I am back and looking forward to my new position as the Work-Study Program Director. I am extremely excited to have this opportunity to work more closely with our Work-Study partners and most especially with the students. I am committed to strengthening the Work-Study department and look forward to learning how to better serve our sponsors, our community and most importantly, our students.  I am absolutely thrilled to once again be a part of the CRHSS team!

I am an alumnus of Cristo Rey as part of the class of 2014. As a student, I made the Dean’s Honors list while playing football under Coach Macias and basketball under Coach Lynn. Following graduation, I attended Cosumnes River College, but dropped out after less than a year. After two years, I re-enrolled at Folsom Lake College where I completed my Associate's in Business. I transferred to Sacramento State University where I achieved academic honors (Cum Lade) for my degree in Business Administration with three concentrations: Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and International Business. My resume now includes experiences with healthcare, internet technology, mental health, and hospitality. I look forward to coming back and contributing to programs that made me who I am today.

My name is Elizabeth Rodriguez, and I am a Cristo Rey High School alumna from the graduating class of 2014. I attended both Sacramento City College and Cosumnes River College to further my pursuit of Journalism Studies and have been a part of the college paper for both facilities, as a writer and an Editor-in-Chief. As my next plan of attack, I am focused on applying for the mortuary program at American River College, but in the meantime, I am focused on broadening my horizons on the work front. I have always enjoyed working with youths, from assisting my brother over at the Boys and Girls Club to the early beginning of my own participation in the Work Study Program at St. John’s Shelter for Real Change many moons ago. I have a passion for art and history, as well as reading and video game/animation media. To come back to the school that started it all is an incredible opportunity, so I look forward to returning with the knowledge that I will be assisting the next cycle of soon-to-be graduates with new memories and perspectives.
